Dear members..

Our forum welcomes all your posts (topics or replies) in either English or Arabic. However, it is really deplorable to see, in our forum, the spread of either “distorted Arabic” (that is, transliterated Arabic, in which English letters and numbers are used), or “very poor” English.

Please remember that our forum belongs to the Department of English and not a chatting room on the net.

If, however, you’re stuck with certain English words, you can still write them in Arabic (using Arabic letters, not phonetic symbols).

Here is an acceptable example:

I don’t know the meaning of “كرة”, but I think it means “ball”.

But the following example is completely unacceptable in our forum:

Ana m^s 3aarif ma3n_a “koora”, bas a3taqid en m3naaha “ball”

Using vulgar or offensive language is equally unacceptable in our forum.

I’m afraid it’s high time we put an end to this ‘epidemic’. Topics or replies with this kind of content will be deleted without pre-notice!

I just want to add a comment,
Here in this site,we are trying to help each other to be better,
As English student,
We are not professionals,we are students,and it means that we don't know everything
We still have a lot to learn and a lot to know,
And writing is one of the skills we need to practice,
Because as we all know
Practice makes perfect,
On the post, we don't expect a perfect spelling or a perfect grammar or even being perfect on the use of the language and sentences,
But we will still send our posts in English,so we can really improve our English in a good way,
We will correct each other,Till we are perfect,
So please try to help yourselves,and try to help Us...,

Guys , I know that it will be somewhat difficult to keep speaking and writing English here in the forum

but , I`m sure Guys ..... after a bit of time we`ll be all enjoying this

realy i `m not enjoying speaking like this example" ana ba7eb al3ab koora " since what`s the difference between it and arabic ??
